Emax Coating

Emax veneers, which are seen as a new generation aesthetic dentistry application, are used in dental treatments, especially in anterior dental aesthetics. The fact that the incisors are stronger in chewing and shredding is the reason for using this treatment method. However, the Emax veneer treatment must be approved by the dentist. Because your existing teeth must be suitable for Emax veneer treatment. E-Max, which is used as an abbreviation of the word Aesthetic Maximum, is the type of coating that is frequently applied in smile design treatments.

What is Emax Coating?

Emax Coatings are performed as a result of the reinforcement of the ceramic material with the use of glass ceramics and bringing high durability. Emax veneers are also spreading rapidly in the field of aesthetic dentistry, as they have excellent aesthetics and long-term durability. It is generally preferred in crown and veneer applications especially in the anterior region.

Emax veneers, which have a very important place among dental treatment methods, are aesthetic porcelains that do not contain metal, and these are porcelains with increased durability and fired in glass ceramics. Porcelain veneers are one of the most raw and harmless veneer raw materials for the human body. The 100% porcelain feature also reduces the risk of allergic reactions that may occur in the patient.

How long do Emax Coatings last?

Emax dental veneers require more attention and care. This delicate work starts from the tooth preparation process and continues until the bonding of porcelain teeth. Emax veneers, whose structure is half sheet, reflect both the light and the color of the tooth. Therefore, a special adhesive is used and requires follow-up.

Because it is extremely natural and transparent, changes in the color of our patient’s own teeth may create a disadvantage. For example, since a root canal treated tooth darkens or darkens over time, zirconia should be preferred instead of Emax in such cases. Another disadvantage is that its use in mouths with missing teeth can cause problems. For this reason, while Emax is preferred in anterior teeth, zirconium selection in posterior regions may be a more accurate treatment in some cases.

Emax Coating Advantages

One of the most important advantages of Emax veneers is that it gives the closest naturalness to the tooth. Thanks to its smooth surface and color, they can be used for many years and do not stain. You can achieve your most natural smile thanks to emax veneers, which will achieve the most natural harmony with your own teeth.

Other advantages of Emax dental veneer can be listed as follows;

  • Emax veneers or crowns have the best mix of transparency and a realistic look. This makes it suitable for the arrangement of the anterior teeth. Although it is more transparent in zircon crowns, it is the closest coating option to the natural tooth color.
  • Emaxs do not contain metal. For this reason, gingival compliance is extremely good and conditions such as gray lines do not appear in these veneers.
  • They can be produced quickly using the Cad-Cam system. After preparing the teeth, it will be sufficient to make correct planning with software support.
  • Periodontal is extremely healthy and plaque accumulation is minimal.
  • All-ceramic emaxs do not cause any allergic reaction.
  • They are coatings that are extremely resistant to abrasion.
  • Since emax coatings applied with a special adhesive do not change color and shape over time, they do not lose their aesthetic appearance and feature.

How Long is Emax Coating Treatment Time?

In Emax veneer applications, excessive cutting is not done on the teeth. For this reason, the Emax coating treatment period is completed between 7 and 10 days, depending on the number of members to be applied. During this time, you will have 3 or 4 visits to our clinic.

For whom Emax Coating is not applied?

Emax coatings are aesthetic applications and are preferred for visuality. It is not the first choice for rotten or broken teeth. Emax is not preferred especially if there are too many broken, rotten teeth in the mouth, and if there is an advanced level of crowding. Emaxs are an option especially applied in anterior teeth.

Emax porcelains are also not recommended for patients who have visual aesthetic concerns in the mouth and have too many missing teeth.
